Program Description

Whether you're a wine professional, inquisitive wine enthusiast or energetic epicurean looking to enhance your experiences through food and wine; French Wine Essentials provide students with a solid foundation on the wines of France.

Designed by the Wine Scholar Guild and taught by our with wine selections curated by Master Sommelier David Glancy, our French Wine Essentials program presents the often-complex world of French wine in an accessible and engaging way; highlighting “need to know” regions, grape varieties and wine styles.

Students explore the culture, cuisine, history, viticulture and winemaking principles behind the most influential wine regions in the world while gaining industry-recognized certification.

French Wine Essentials is an introductory course.  It's the perfect launchpad to the highly respected  and the first step towards French wine mastery.

*Hybrid - Room/Zoom - NEW!

We've recently invested in some serious AV technology upgrades to create an integrated Hybrid Room/Zoom experience for all students.  Both "Roomers" and "Zoomers" are able to engage with us and each other during these live classes.  Recordings are also available after the class.  Whether you are excited to return to our beautiful venue in person or are enjoying the convenience of home learning, you can choose the experience that's right for YOU!

Guided Wine Tasting Exercises

Wine is included in this program.  Students will taste over 20 Italian wines to bring learning objectives to life and practice your tasting techniques. All wines are selected by Master Sommelier David Glancy and our instructors to represent a broad sampling of the classic wines of Italy.

Roomers will have wine in their glass in the classroom.  Zoomers will have tasting kits they can either pickup or have delivered for an additional fee.
